Milwaukee Buck’s ‘Buckley’

Collaboration with Sports and the Arts and the Milwaukee Bucks. This sculpture consisted of cutting thousands of shreds of basketball leather. The 8' x 7' sculpture stands as one of the largest sculptures in the newly built Fiserv Forum Arena. Fans can see this sculpture on the second floor concourse. This was also my very first time working with basketball leather. In order to get the color variants I hand dyed all of the leather before cutting them into thousands of shreds.

Materials: Foam, Fiberglass, Basketball leather, Steel fasteners.

Location: Publicly displayed at Fiserv Forum Arena, home of the Milwaukee Bucks.
