Wooden Epoxy Torso

The first in my wood/epoxy series, this began as an experiment to see if carving it  was even possible. I used this as a marketing campaign and gave this sculpture away during a  contest. I first milled up Walnut, Brazilian Rosewood, White Oak and Cherry. I then glued them  all up in two separate pieces. I poured 6 gallons of epoxy resin in two separate pours. I then used various power tools and hours upon hours of hand sanding to shape this sculpture into  it's final form.

Materials: Epoxy, Walnut, Brazilian Rosewood, White Oak, Cherry.

Location: Private Residence, North Carolina.
