Bat Ray
I took inspiration from the ocean and sculpted this Bat Ray out of Black Walnut Burl and epoxy resin. The Bat Ray (and pedestal) measures 30” wide, 18” tall and 25” long. The Crab is carved out of Old Growth Redwood Burl and the pedestal is an end cap to a giant piece of Old Growth Redwood Burl. I used 3 Gallons of epoxy resin and hand carved this piece with a chainsaw and other power tools.
