Humpback Whale

This Humpback Whale sculpture measures 18” long, 16” tall, and 7” wide, and is crafted from a variety of reclaimed wood species. Every curve and detail of the whale was carefully shaped by hand over the course of several weeks, allowing the natural character and history of the wood to shine through in the final piece.

The whale is mounted on a unique lava rock pedestal, collected along the shoreline of the Hawaiian Islands, which grounds the sculpture in an organic connection to the ocean it represents. Notably, this is the very first sculpture I have ever created using recycled wood species—a meaningful milestone in my work, blending sustainability with fine art.
