Fox

Carved from an amazing block of Redwood Lace Burl, this Fox sculpture showcases one of the most beautiful pieces of wood I have ever carved. The wood’s natural, swirling laced grain pattern with reds and yellows immediately inspired me to carve it into a fox. This sculpture measures 32” long, 16” tall, and 9” wide. The piece features Maple and Wenge wood inlays that add sharp, visual contrast to the animal's features. The sculpture is mounted on a solid Bastogne Walnut base, providing a rich, dark foundation that perfectly frames the fiery colors of the redwood above. This was a commissioned sculpture and resides in a private residence in the UK.
