Polar Bond

This sculpture portrays the quiet, enduring bond between a mother Polar Bear and her cub, carved entirely from epoxy resin. I carefully poured seven layers of epoxy resin, transitioning from dark blue to crystal clear, creating a sense of depth and interesting color gradient within the sculpture. More than six gallons of epoxy resin were used to create the mother bear alone. This piece also marks a first in my work. It is the first sculpture I have carved entirely from epoxy resin. The mother bear measures 16" long × 10" tall × 7" wide, while the cub measures 5" long × 4.5" tall × 2.5" wide.
